The EECI Conference 2012 Edition

October 20th, 2012 | By: Kyle Cotter |

The final EECI Conference was held this past week, and they certainly went out with a bang. Robert and the team at Whoooz! did a stellar job with this year's event.

Located at the Horseshoe Bay Resort outside of Austin, Texas, this was the highest quality EECI I have attended. The conference was setup with nerds in mind. Featuring nice tables for laptops, and of course, wifi.

The two day conference was full of great information. Getting to see old friends again, as well as making new ones, is always a treat.

Some of the highlights include Christopher Imrie launching Site Manager, an ExpressionEngine add-on that allows you to sync channels, channel fields, channel field groups, and categories across remote sites.

Getting to meet Carl Smith of nGen Works was a pleasure. He's such a great guy. All in all EECI was a trip I'll remember for a long time to come.

Even though this was the last EECI, the ExpressionEngine community is one of a kind, and there will most definitely continue to be community events. The reason ExpressionEngine is so amazing is because of the community.

Until we meet again.
